This year’s theme is “Artificial Intelligence and Law: Power or Peril to the World.”

The Rakesh Aggarwal Memorial Debate Competition aims to encourage students to engage with contemporary issues surrounding artificial intelligence and its implications for the legal system. This competition fosters intellectual debate, critical thinking, and enhances communication skills.

Eligibility & Participation:

• Open to students from any college or university, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
• Teams should consist of two participants—one speaker for the motion and the other against.
• Teams may represent any institution, and multiple teams from the same institution are allowed.

Prizes:

• Best Speaker: ₹5,000
• Runner-Up Speaker: ₹3,000
• 2nd Runner-Up Speaker: ₹2,000
• Winning Team: ₹5,000
• Runner-Up Team: ₹3,000

Certificates will be awarded to all participants, and winners will receive additional accolades.

Judgment Criteria:

Participants will be judged based on three criteria: Matter, Manner, and Method. A panel of judges will evaluate the debate, and their decisions will be final and binding.
