About the Opportunity

The Chambers of Hon’ble Ms. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, High Court of Delhi is inviting applications for the position of Law Researcher. This role presents a prestigious opportunity for aspiring legal professionals to gain first-hand experience in judicial research, legal drafting, and case analysis at one of the country’s leading courts. The selected candidate will work closely on legal matters, assisting in legal research, drafting case summaries, and analyzing precedents to support judicial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

The Law Researcher will be expected to:

• Conduct in-depth legal research on case laws, statutes, and precedents to assist in judicial decision-making.
• Analyze legal issues and prepare concise case notes, research briefs, and case summaries.
• Draft legal documents including orders, judgments, and legal reports under the supervision of the Hon’ble Judge.
• Attend court hearings and assist in compiling references for cases under consideration.
• Maintain legal databases and organize judicial records efficiently.

Eligibility Criteria

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
• Prior experience in legal research, litigation, or judicial clerkship (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to summarize and interpret complex legal issues.
• Excellent drafting and writing abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines.

Location

The position is based at the High Court of Delhi, New Delhi, requiring full-time in-office engagement.
