The RUAS School of Law Moot Court Competition 2025 is a national-level competition aimed at developing the advocacy and research skills of aspiring legal professionals. The event will focus on contemporary constitutional and technology law issues, challenging participants to engage in high-level legal argumentation.

Format & Structure

The competition will be conducted in multiple rounds:

  1. Preliminary Rounds – Each team argues both sides (Petitioner & Respondent).
  2. Octa-Final Round – 8 teams qualify; each argues only one side (determined by draw of lots).
  3. Quarter-Final Round – 8 teams argue based on knockout rounds.
  4. Semi-Final Round – 4 teams compete for a place in the finals.
  5. Final Round – Top 2 teams argue before a distinguished bench.

Additionally, a Researcher’s Test will be conducted to evaluate legal research skills.

Additional Details

  • Eligibility: Open to students pursuing a 5-year integrated LL.B. program or a 3-year LL.B. program from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  • Team Composition: Each team must have 2 or 3 members (2 Speakers + 1 Researcher).
  • Dress Code:
  • Men: White Shirt, Black Pants, Black Blazer, Black Tie, Black Formal Shoes.
  • Women: White Shirt, Black Pants, Black Blazer, Black Formal Shoes.
  • Registration Fee:
  • ₹5,000 (with accommodation)
  • ₹3,000 (without accommodation)

  • Winner – ₹30,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Excellence
