About the Role

Marlabs is looking for a Senior Associate – Level 2 with 2 to 4 years of experience in the IT industry, preferably someone who has worked in legal support roles for both the India and US regions.

Requirements

• Law Graduate with a specialization in commercial law.
• Strong subject matter expertise and the ability to provide practical legal advice on contractual issues.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to opine effectively on compliance/legal matters.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word & Excel) and the ability to work with contract management tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, redline, and negotiate contracts (Agreements, SOWs, Amendments, etc.) independently or with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare and finalize commercial proposals.
• Create guideline documents related to contract management processes (e.g., SOPs, Playbooks, Templates).
• Manage follow-up work, including gathering comments, reviewing agreements, and preparing them for execution.
• Oversee the execution of agreements, dispatch for signature, and tracking of return documents.
• Provide legal support to business teams and respond to queries regarding documentation and compliance.
• Conduct due diligence investigations and support case preparation.
• Perform extensive legal research to guide on legal matters.
