This Socio-Legal Internship offers a rare opportunity to engage with high-impact legal work—ranging from PIL drafting to policy analysis. Interns will assist in legal filings, case briefings, and social justice initiatives. The internship welcomes two law students, one of whom will be selected from a first-generation lawyer aspirant background to foster inclusivity.

Structure & Responsibilities

  • Drafting Petitions, PILs, SLPs, Writs, and legal filings
  • Legal research for active matters before courts
  • Preparing briefs, note sheets, and legal memos
  • Policy analysis on constitutional law, civil liberties, and social rights
  • Content development for public legal awareness and law-society engagement

Eligibility & Preferences

  • Law students (any year) with strong legal research and writing skills
  • Keen interest in constitutional law, access to justice, PILs, and public interest work
  • Preference for students with prior PIL/legal aid/human rights experience
  • One seat is reserved for a first-generation lawyer aspirant
  • Self-motivated, deadline-oriented individuals comfortable with remote work and minimal supervision
