About the University/Organization
The Southern African Law Teachers Conference (SALTC) 2025 is hosted by the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Law in collaboration with the Society for Law Teachers of Southern Africa (SLTSA). The conference provides a platform for legal scholars and educators to explore the evolving impact of constitutional supremacy on law teaching, research, and practice across Southern Africa.
About the Event
This year’s theme is “Reflections on Constitutional Supremacy in Southern Africa: Reviewing the Impact on Law Teaching and Learning, Research, and Practice.” The conference will bring together leading academics, legal practitioners, and researchers to discuss the role of constitutional supremacy in shaping contemporary legal frameworks and pedagogy.

Additional Details
- Selected full papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of De Jure Law Journal.
- The registration fee for attendees is R6,000, inclusive of access to the Teaching & Research workshop.
- Abstracts must be a maximum of 300 words, clearly outlining the objectives, methodology, and relevance of the proposed paper to the theme of the conference.
