About the University

NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, stands as one of India’s premier legal education institutions, recognized for academic distinction and its dedication to advancing legal scholarship. In collaboration with Trilegal, a leading Indian law firm, and the Competition Commission of India (CCI), the university hosts the 4th NALSAR-CCI Antitrust Moot Court Competition, promoting excellence in antitrust law.


About the Event

The 4th Trilegal’s NALSAR-CCI Antitrust Moot Court Competition is the largest antitrust moot in India. This competition aims to hone participants’ analytical, advocacy, and legal research skills. SCC Online and SCC Times serve as Knowledge & Media Partners, ensuring an enriching experience for all participants.

Format/Structure

The competition follows a two-stage structure:

  1. Memorial Elimination Round: The top 24 teams will advance to the oral rounds based on their written submissions.
  2. Oral Rounds: This includes Preliminary and Advanced Rounds, culminating in the Grand Final.

Location

The competition will be held offline at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Accommodation will be provided from 21 to 23 March 2025.

Eligibility

  • Open to undergraduate and postgraduate law students from institutions across India.
  • Cross-institutional teams are permitted.
  • No cap on the number of teams from one institution.
  • Participation is independent of institutional identity.

Registration Fee

  • INR 7,500 per team, inclusive of accommodation.

Prizes

  • Winning Team: INR 1,00,000, SCC Online subscriptions, and a Trilegal internship.
  • Runners-Up: INR 50,000 and a Trilegal internship.
  • Best Speaker: Trophy and INR 10,000.
  • Best Researcher: Trophy, INR 7,500, and a Trilegal internship.
  • Best Speaker in Finals: Trophy and INR 7,500.
  • Best Memorial (Informant): Trophy and INR 12,500.
  • Best Memorial (Opposite Party): Trophy and INR 12,500.
  • All participants receive certificates.

Registration Process

Teams of 2 (speakers) or 3 (2 speakers and 1 researcher) may register by completing the registration form at Registration Link. The registration closes on 10 February 2025.
