SRM School of Law, a part of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, is dedicated to providing quality legal education. It aims to foster a deep understanding of the law and promote justice through various academic and extracurricular activities. Forum Justitia is a student-run organization within SRM School of Law that organizes events to promote legal awareness and debate among students.

About the Event

Vivaad’25 is a national-level Asian-Style Parliamentary Debate on the topic “Right to Disconnect,” organized by Forum Justitia, SRM School of Law. This offline event is designed to foster critical thinking, argumentation, and public speaking skills among participants. Participants will engage in rigorous debates, representing various portfolios such as Prime Minister/Opposition Leader, Deputy Prime Minister/Deputy Opposition Leader, and Government Whip.

Format/Structure

The event follows the Asian-Style Parliamentary Debate format, where each team consists of three speakers. Teams will argue for or against the motion “Right to Disconnect,” representing either the ruling or opposition. The debate includes preliminary rounds and knockout rounds.

SRM School of Law, Kattankulathur, Chennai.

Additional Details

Vivaad’25 offers an excellent platform for law students to enhance their debating skills and interact with peers from across the country. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams and outstanding speakers. Accommodation is available in the campus hostel for two days, with additional charges. Registration fees are INR 1500/- per team. Additional charges of INR 3000/- per team will apply for availing accommodation.
