About the Competition:

The Faculty of Law, Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, in collaboration with Ranka Public Charitable Trust, presents the 3rd VGU Ranka National Moot Court Competition 2024 from February 24 to 26, 2024, in offline mode. Registrations are open until February 15.

About the University:

The Faculty of Law at Vivekananda Global University focuses on interdisciplinary legal education and scholarship, challenging normative pedagogy. Recognized for its research-oriented approach, the university encourages original and impactful research across various legal domains.

About the Trust:

Established by Late Dr N.M. Ranka, Senior Advocate, in 1980, Ranka Public Charitable Trust pioneers Moot Court Competitions in Rajasthan. The trust takes pride in organizing the 3rd VGU Ranka National Moot Court Competition, 2024.

Competition Structure:

– Two preliminary rounds

– Quarter-finals (top 8 teams)

– Semi-finals (top 4 teams)

– Knock-out rounds for quarter-finals and semi-finals

– Final round between the winners of the semi-final rounds

Eligibility Criteria:

All full-time law degree students (undergraduate or post-graduate) as of February 1, 2024, are eligible to participate. No capping on the number of teams from an institution.

Team Composition:

Each team comprises three members – two speakers and one researcher.

Prizes:

– Winners: Trophy and cash prize of INR 21,000

– Runners-up: Trophy and cash prize of INR 11,000

– Best Speaker: Trophy and cash prize of INR 5,000

– Best Researcher: Trophy and cash prize of INR 5,000

– Best Memorial: Trophy and cash prize of INR 5,000

– Certificates for all participants

How to Register:

Interested teams can register by February 15, 2024, via the provided link. Registration fees apply.

Registration Fee:

– With accommodation: Rs. 5000/-

– Without accommodation: Rs. 3000/-

Travel Expenses & Accommodation:

Participants cover their travel expenses. Accommodation provided by VGU Jaipur is included in the registration fee.
