About the Event

The 2nd National Workshop-cum-Competition on Drafting and Pleading is being organized by the Civil and Criminal Justice Cell (CCJC) at NLIU, Bhopal. This two-day event aims to provide participants with an in-depth, practical understanding of essential legal drafting and pleading skills. Participants will receive guidance from seasoned legal professionals and will engage in interactive sessions to hone their advocacy skills.

The workshop will cover topics like effective drafting techniques, strategies for pleadings, and legal writing. Participants will also compete in a Drafting Competition, where they will be tasked with preparing legal documents based on a given case problem. This competition will provide practical experience in drafting and an opportunity to receive feedback from expert legal professionals.

Structure of the Workshop

The workshop is designed to offer a balance of theoretical instruction and practical application:

• Sessions: Six sessions spread over two days, focusing on key drafting techniques, strategies for pleadings, and the fundamentals of advocacy.
• Drafting Competition: Participants will be given a case problem to solve overnight, and their drafts will be evaluated by experts the following day.

The workshop promises hands-on learning with personalized feedback from experts, culminating in a competitive environment that encourages participants to demonstrate their skills.

• Winner: ₹15,000
• Runner-up: ₹10,000
• Second Runner-up: ₹5,000
