About the Competition
The Basant Kumar Jaggi Blog Writing Competition honors the legacy of Mr. Basant Kumar Jaggi, a legal luminary and pioneer in Indian law. This annual competition invites law students across India to explore contemporary legal issues through original blog submissions.
This year’s theme is “The Intersection of Law, Society, and Policy”, and participants are encouraged to write on one of the 15 provided topics.

- Judicial Activism vs. Judicial Restraint: Finding the Balance
- The Right to Privacy in the Digital Age: A Human Rights Perspective

- Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate law students from recognized institutions across India.
- Word Limit: 1000-1500 words.
- Submission Guidelines:
- Format: Times New Roman, font size 12, 1.5 spacing.
- Citations: Footnotes in Times New Roman, font size 10.
- Plagiarism: Submissions with over 15% plagiarism will be disqualified.
- Submissions must be in .doc or .docx format (no PDFs).

- Results Announcement: November 26, 2024
