About the Event

The Colloquium on Competition Law, themed “Antitrust in the Age of Algorithms: Reimagining Competition Law for the Digital Economy,” is a national-level academic platform for students, scholars, legal professionals, and academicians to critically engage with the regulatory challenges of digital markets.

This hybrid colloquium aims to re-examine traditional antitrust frameworks in light of AI-driven systems, algorithmic collusion, data monopolies, and the emergence of platform-based dominance. Participants will explore whether current competition laws are adequately equipped to handle market dynamics governed by complex digital ecosystems.

Format and Structure

The Colloquium will include a Panel Discussion, followed by Paper Presentations. The event will be conducted in a hybrid mode, allowing selected participants to present either physically at the CHRIST University Central Campus in Bengaluru or virtually.

  • Submissions must range between 3500 to 5000 words, with an abstract not exceeding 300 words.
  • Only selected authors will be required to register and pay the participation fee.
  • Papers will be peer-reviewed and evaluated on originality, coherence, and alignment with the theme.
  • Co-authorship is allowed (maximum of 2 authors). Selected papers may be published in an edited volume.
