Key Responsibilities:

As the Company Secretary and Legal Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Contract Review & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including those related to joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions (M&A). Help improve contract efficiency while ensuring legal compliance.
• Business Transactions: Advise on and negotiate business transactions to capture opportunities while mitigating risks.
• M&A Projects: Lead due diligence efforts, negotiations, and contract drafting for M&A transactions.
• Litigation Management: Initiate, defend, and settle legal claims. Manage court cases, labor tribunal issues, and regulatory investigations.
• Compliance & Corporate Governance: Oversee corporate compliance with laws and regulations, including anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and business conduct standards. Conduct compliance training and ensure the rollout of corporate policies.
• Employment Law Issues: Provide legal guidance on employment matters, such as hiring, dismissals, compensation, and benefits.
• Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate with regional and global legal teams to support Axalta’s business growth in India.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Law degree from a reputable institution, with admission to the Bar Council of India.
• Experience: 3–5 years of legal experience, ideally within a multinational corporation.
• Skills: Strong experience in contract negotiation, corporate compliance, litigation management, and business transactions.
• Languages: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Compliance Knowledge: Experience in handling compliance programs, including anti-bribery and anti-trust training, is highly valued.
