About the Job Opportunity

This opportunity is ideal for experienced legal professionals with expertise in real estate, banking, and compliance. The role demands proficiency in managing legal documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, negotiating land acquisition deals, and advising on property laws and FDI regulations. Candidates will also lead legal processes related to RERA, property verification, and customer-related legal issues.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Real Estate and Legal Compliance:
  • Conduct due diligence and provide title certificates for land acquisition.
  • Ensure RERA registrations for projects across India.
  • Draft legal documents, including MOUs, sale deeds, agreements, powers of attorney, and indemnity bonds.
• Regulatory Coordination:
  • Work closely with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders like advocates, solicitors, and financial institutions.
  • Handle property-related legalities, including title verification and security creation with banks.
• Advisory and Documentation:
  • Draft and review various legal correspondences, policies, and transaction-related documents.
  • Provide legal opinions to ensure compliance with regulatory norms, particularly for financial institutions and NBFCs.
• Policy Setting:
  • Formulate policies for FDI in the company and stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the business.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualifications: LLB/LLM and Advocate enrollment with any State Bar Council.
• Experience: 10+ years in legal roles, with a focus on real estate laws, litigation, and corporate compliance.
• Skills:
  • Expertise in Indian real estate laws, RERA regulations, and stamp duty/registration procedures.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Familiarity with local bodies’ procedures in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Goa.
  • Knowledge of FDI regulations for real estate and infrastructure businesses.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in regional languages like Hindi, Kannada, or Marathi.
