About the Internship

Fashion TV India is currently hiring a Legal Intern for its legal team based in Mumbai. This on-site role provides an excellent opportunity for law students or recent law graduates to gain practical experience in litigation, legal dispute management, and document preparation. As a Legal Intern, you will assist with legal operations, including conducting research, drafting responses to legal notices, analyzing legal documents, and supporting dispute management.

The role offers immersive exposure to the legal facets of the media and fashion industries, making it ideal for interns interested in pursuing a career in fashion or media law. Interns will work closely with seasoned legal professionals and contribute to high-stakes cases, helping to protect the brand’s legal interests and maintain compliance across operations.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Research: Conduct research to support case strategies, providing relevant legal insights and background.
Document Preparation: Assist in preparing pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal summaries.
Drafting Responses: Draft responses to legal notices and review correspondence related to legal disputes.
Case Management: Collaborate with the Legal Disputes Manager to develop litigation strategies and manage case files.
External Counsel Support: Work with external counsel in the discovery process, preparing necessary documentation.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized case records, ensuring accurate tracking and retrieval of documents.
Internal Communication: Participate in team meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items related to ongoing cases.

Qualifications

Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
Interest in Litigation: Strong interest in litigation and dispute resolution, with a focus on the fashion or media sector.
Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills.
Research Proficiency: Skilled in legal research, familiar with legal terminology and concepts.
