Law Centre-II, part of the prestigious Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, was established in 1971 and has a long legacy of academic excellence and community engagement. Over the years, the Centre has earned a reputation for providing high-quality legal education, offering a full-time LL.B. program that attracts students from across the country. The Centre is known for its robust extracurricular activities, including moot courts, debates, legal aid programs, seminars, and workshops.
The Faculty of Law at the University of Delhi is one of India’s leading law schools, producing some of the country’s most distinguished legal professionals, including judges of the Supreme Court, politicians, advocates, and academicians. In its 100-year history, the Faculty of Law has contributed immensely to the Indian legal system and continues to be a hub for legal research and learning.
The National Workshop & Capacity Development Program on Artificial Intelligence: Techno-Legal Perspective is being organized by Law Centre-II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, in association with HP Microworld. This workshop seeks to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and law, focusing on the transformative role AI plays in the Indian judiciary. From case management to decision support and virtual hearings, AI is reshaping the legal landscape in India.
The program will cover various AI tools used in judicial systems, such as SUPACE and SUVAS, and address key ethical considerations in the adoption of AI in legal practices. The workshop aims to create dialogue on how AI can enhance access to justice, address case backlogs, and improve transparency in the judiciary.
