The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), established under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is an institution of national importance that specializes in forensic sciences, justice studies, and policy development. The Centre for Child Advocacy at NFSU is a dedicated initiative aimed at addressing issues related to child rights and child-centric justice. In collaboration with various stakeholders, including the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), the center works on promoting policies, conducting research, and organizing events that highlight the legal and social challenges faced by children in India. This center is committed to fostering an environment where children’s rights are understood, respected, and protected.
The Centre for Child Advocacy at NFSU, in partnership with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, is organizing an insightful and timely workshop on “Child Centric Justice Approaches in India.” This event is designed to engage policymakers, legal practitioners, researchers, and students in meaningful discussions about the current state and future direction of child-centric justice in India.
With a focus on addressing the unique challenges faced by children within the justice system, this workshop will explore the various legal, psychological, and social dimensions that must be considered when designing child-centered justice policies and practices. Participants will gain insights into best practices, current policies, and innovative approaches aimed at creating a justice system that upholds the rights and welfare of children.
