Responsibilities:

As a Legal Associate, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Legal Research & Analysis:
    Conduct comprehensive research on various corporate and business law topics, including case law, statutes, regulations, and industry standards. The findings will be used to provide well-researched legal opinions and recommendations for client matters.
  • Drafting & Reviewing Contracts:
    Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, such as commercial agreements, employment contracts, licensing agreements, and merger and acquisition documents. Ensure that all documents are legally sound, comply with the applicable laws, and safeguard the client’s interests.
  • Stay Updated on Legal Developments:
    Stay abreast of recent changes in corporate law and related legal developments through continuing education, legal seminars, and professional development initiatives. Regular updates on new precedents, regulations, and policies will be required to provide timely and informed legal advice.
  • Business Development Contributions:
    Participate in business development efforts, including preparing client pitches, proposals, and marketing materials. Identify new opportunities to expand the firm’s client base and assist in client outreach strategies.
  • Due Diligence & Risk Assessment:
    Participate in due diligence processes related to mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. Assess potential legal risks and liabilities involved in the transactions, providing guidance on how to mitigate them.
  • Document Management & Organization:
    Organize and maintain an efficient system for legal documents, contracts, and records, ensuring that all files are up-to-date, securely stored, and easily retrievable when required.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B. or equivalent) from a recognized law school.
  • License to Practice: Must be licensed to practice law by the relevant State Bar Association.
  • Experience: Freshers (newly graduated law students with internship experience) are welcome to apply.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to assess complex legal issues.
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to draft precise legal documents.
    • Strong managerial skills and a proactive approach to client relations and negotiations.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
  • Personal Attributes:
