About SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonipat
SRM University Delhi-NCR (SRMUH), located in Sonipat, Haryana, is a premier institution established under the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2013. About the Competition
The 1st National Moot Court Competition organized by the Moot Court Committee of SRMUH is designed to provide law students a platform to develop their advocacy skills, legal acumen, and teamwork. The competition will revolve around contemporary legal issues at the intersection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Competition Law, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This competition aims to challenge participants’ research and analytical abilities, fostering a deeper understanding of these evolving legal fields. It provides an invaluable opportunity for students to engage with critical legal issues and showcase their skills before experienced judges and academicians.

The total prize pool for the competition is worth ₹49,000, with awards in the following categories:
- Winner: ₹21,000, Trophy, and Certificate
- Runner-Up: ₹11,000, Trophy, and Certificate
- Second Runner-Up: ₹7,000, Trophy, and Certificate
- Best Memorial: ₹5,000, Trophy, and Certificate
- Best Speaker: ₹5,000, Trophy, and Certificate
- Best Researcher: ₹5,000, Trophy, and Certificate

Competition Format
The competition will take place in a hybrid mode, comprising:
- Preliminary Rounds (Online): Scheduled for November 24, 2024.
- Advanced Rounds (Offline): Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and Final Rounds will be held at the SRM University campus on December 7-8, 2024.
Team Composition:
- Each team must consist of three members: two speakers and one researcher.
- The moot problem will focus on themes of IPR, Competition Law, and AI.
- Participants are required to submit memorials for both sides (appellant and respondent) by the given deadline.
