About the Call for Papers

GNLU Student Law Review is now accepting submissions for Volume VI in four categories, each with distinct word limits and requirements. This issue aims to feature a diverse array of perspectives and analyses on various fields of law, encouraging contributions that provide insights into pressing legal issues, influential judgments, legislative developments, and notable legal literature.

The categories are as follows:

  1. Article (4500-8000 words): This category expects a comprehensive examination of a chosen legal topic. Submissions should thoroughly engage with the subject, aiming to highlight its contemporary relevance and implications for legal policy. Authors are encouraged to substantiate their arguments with rigorous research and policy analysis.
  2. Case Note (2500-4500 words): This category is intended for analysis of recent or landmark judgments of Indian courts. A Case Note should provide background on the case, interpret the judgment, and discuss its broader implications for future jurisprudence and judicial interpretation.
  3. Legislative Comment (2000-4000 words): Legislative Comments analyze recent or proposed legislative developments in India. These submissions are expected to offer comparative cross-jurisdictional perspectives and include recommendations for legislative improvements where applicable.
  4. Book Review (1500-4000 words): Book Reviews should provide a cohesive analysis of a legal text, presenting its core themes, arguments, and contributions to legal scholarship. The review should be reflective and provide an insightful critique of the book’s relevance and impact in its respective legal field.
