About the Position

Lexansh & Co is inviting applications for the role of Associate – Litigation/Dispute Resolution. This role is ideal for individuals with 0-2 years of experience who are passionate about litigation, dispute resolution, and client management. The selected candidate will be actively involved in handling diverse legal matters and collaborating with senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle legal matters related to 138 NI Act, Commercial Suits, Recovery Suits, Writs, Operation and Mismanagement, Company Law, and Insolvency & Bankruptcy Law.
• Conduct thorough legal research on ongoing cases, including statutory interpretations, procedural rules, and case law.
• Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents such as plaints, writs, appeals, complaints, and applications.
• Draft and review contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal documentation to ensure clarity and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with clients, provide case updates, prepare briefs, and discuss legal strategies.
• Assist in court hearings, arbitrations, and trials before District Courts, Tribunals, High Courts, and the Supreme Court.
• Support senior advocates in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes like arbitration, mediation, and conciliation.
• Manage case documentation, maintain schedules, and ensure compliance with court procedures.
• Stay updated on developments in litigation and dispute resolution practices.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.
• Skills:
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting and document review.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
