About the Position:

Zenith Resource Management is recruiting for the position of Legal Head for a well-established Real Estate Developer Ltd. Company based in New Delhi. This is a senior-level role with a salary of up to 10 LPA, designed for professionals with 10-15 years of experience in corporate law, including expertise in the Companies Act, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Law, and other related areas of law. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the legal affairs of the organization, providing strategic legal counsel, managing litigation matters, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

The Legal Head will play a key role in shaping the legal strategy, providing expert advice to the senior management, and ensuring that all legal matters are addressed in a timely and efficient manner. The position demands extensive experience in contract management, legal risk mitigation, dispute resolution, and leading a legal team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts. Ensure that all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations, minimizing potential legal risks for the organization.
• Legal Strategy and Counsel: Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company’s business objectives. Provide sound legal advice to the senior management team on corporate, regulatory, and commercial matters.
• Litigation Management: Handle all litigation matters, including managing disputes and representing the company in legal proceedings. Collaborate with external counsel when necessary and ensure effective case management.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure the organization’s legal compliance with all relevant laws, including corporate governance, intellectual property, real estate regulations, and more.
• Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and advise on proactive strategies to mitigate these risks. Provide guidance on legal issues related to grievances, complaints, and disciplinary actions.
• Grievance/Complaint Resolution: Take charge of resolving legal issues arising from grievances and complaints, offering sound legal solutions in alignment with company policies.
• Legal Advice Database: Ensure that all legal opinions, advice, and documents are properly recorded, reviewed, and stored in a central legal advice database for future reference and compliance purposes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: LLB or LLM from a recognized institution, with specialization in Corporate Law, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Law, and/or Companies Act.
• Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of experience as a Head of Legal or in a similar senior position within the real estate or corporate law sectors.
• Key Skills:
  • Strong understanding of corporate laws, including the Companies Act, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, and other applicable legal frameworks.
  • Proven experience in managing a legal department and working closely with senior management.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate laws and regulations, including contract management, disputes, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate legal matters to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing teams, including internal legal staff and external counsel.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal regulations and turn them into practical, actionable advice for business units.
