About SPIL, Mumbai

Students for the Promotion of International Law (SPIL), Mumbai, is a student-led organization formed in 2009 under the aegis of GLC, Mumbai. SPIL aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application of international law through events, panel discussions, and international law summits. Focused on raising awareness and facilitating discussion on critical international legal issues, SPIL has grown into a vibrant community, fostering collaboration among law students and professionals worldwide.

About the Panel Discussion

SPIL, Mumbai, presents an intellectually stimulating Panel Discussion on the topic, “The Interplay Between Environmental Regulations and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI): Balancing Sustainability and Economic Growth.” This panel aims to address the complex and nuanced relationship between environmental protection and the drive for economic growth through FDI. With globalization accelerating investments across borders, countries face the dual challenge of attracting FDI while upholding stringent environmental regulations. This discussion seeks to uncover strategies for creating policies that encourage sustainable economic growth without compromising on environmental standards.
