About the Position:

Lawgical Associates is seeking a Trainee Associate with 0-2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) who is passionate about contributing to critical legal issues related to women and children, workplace harassment, and labor rights. This position provides an excellent opportunity for young lawyers to enhance their skills in legal research, drafting, case support, and compliance within these specialized areas. As a Trainee Associate, you will work closely with experienced lawyers and clients, contributing to the firm’s mission of achieving justice and equality through the law.

The role offers exposure to high-stakes cases, which will develop your skills and understanding of the complexities of legal issues in the social justice sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough research on legal matters related to Crimes Against Women & Children, Sexual Harassment Laws, Employment & Labour Laws, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. You will provide insights and support in ongoing cases.
  • Drafting & Documentation: Assist in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, and internal memos, while ensuring that all documents comply with current legal standards.
  • Collateral Creation: Help create educational materials for both clients and the public on legal issues, offering a clear understanding of rights and processes within the firm’s practice areas.
  • Case Support & Analysis: Provide assistance in the preparation and analysis of case files, client consultations, and evidence management. This includes drafting reports and making recommendations for legal strategies.
  • Legal Compliance: Support the team in ensuring that all legal operations align with relevant laws and regulations, both for clients and the firm’s own internal processes.

Skills Required:

  • Strong interest and knowledge in Crimes Against Women & Children, Sexual Harassment Laws, Employment & Labour Laws, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
  • Strong foundation in legal research and drafting, including the ability to interpret legislation and case law.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise reporting and presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
